Surprised me a little bit to know that about us but I think it has to do with us having a fairly young (student) population, fairly high incomes in general, highly educated people, and stable families.

Governor Deval Patrick announced plans yesterday for his inauguration, saying the festivities would be more modest than the statewide celebrations that kicked off his first term four years ago.
Shouldn’t he simply do away with this celebration? I am happy he won, I am a big supporter and fan, voted for him this year, but am not convinced that another party is needed. Indeed, taxpayers don’t foot the bill, but wouldn’t it be nice to make better use of money and time?
